Art has always been woven into the fabric of my life. I come from a creative family where self-expression through visual art was valued and there was a strong belief that art in all its forms should be accessible to everyone. Creativity was not only encouraged, but central to our everyday experience. As a child, I found endless joy in painting and drawing—capturing the world around me in colour and form.

However, life took me on a different path for many years. I pursued a career in international relations, one that allowed me to travel extensively and immerse myself in diverse cultures. Through these experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for the aesthetic richness of the world—the textures of ancient cities, the vibrant hues of street markets, the subtle shifts of light across unfamiliar landscapes. While my professional life was stimulating and full of adventure, it also became increasingly demanding and, over time, left me feeling unbalanced and creatively depleted.

Eventually, I felt a powerful pull back to where it all began: the easel. In returning to art, I rediscovered the beauty, calm, and joy that creating brings me. My work is deeply informed by the breadth of my experiences and unified by an appreciation for aesthetics, colour, and mood—particularly as expressed through the natural environment. From florals and still life to skyscapes, landscapes, and seascapes, each piece is a meditation on subject, place, emotion, and the quiet details that make the world feel alive.
